RIP - Sept 2016:
It looks like before we could even give it another chance, the Dog Pound is once again out of business.
The sign out front now calls it the Rigs Pub. Oh well, makes that another place to try.
Overall - March 2007:
Always nice to see a spot get revived from the crapper. The previous review for the Dog Pound was so long ago, and was probably different owners, so it’s a new review. And considering that the last time we visited the dog pound, our lovely hostesses would have been in elementary school, we all agreed a new review was justified.
The wings... Fucking huge. Like really big. Big ass wings.
Only problem was they were on the dry side. Quite dry. Dessert jihad wings.
But at $4.80 a pound though, it’s hard to complain!
The Beer.... Eh I think we had Canadian, none of our preferred darker favourites to be had.
The Atmosphere.... Tavar definitely helped the score, as it had been completely non existent at the other two places we visited on this grand evening, known as the "Hartzel Road Run" of 2007.
