Ladies and Gentlemen - May we announce the highest score ever for an establishment - 99%!
Yes, we’ve given outrageously high scores to a few places in the past - mostly due to bribery with alcohol or an exceptionally high TAVAR score, but in this case, we believe the score remains true to one thing; the search for the finest wings in the region!
First off, these wings were exceptionally HUGE, probably the biggest wings we’ve ever encountered. Next, they were deep fried to absolute perfection. A lightly dusted and perfectly crisp skin outside surrounding moist and flavourful chicken within. There was no oily or greasy flavour, nor the skanky aftertaste of chicken that had been pre-cooked and re-frozen that we’ve become accustomed to. These had to be the freshest tasting wings ever.
Another unique twist was the homemade jerk sauce on the side. Again, we’re used to the typical Buffalo-style sauce ala Frank’s and this was a great new suprise. A uniquely hot and spicy flavour for dipping kept the wings from getting soggy and blended perfectly with, rather than obscured the chicken flavour.
Kudos to Chris for finding this place and getting us to think outside the box. We never would have expected to find such great wings at a place catering to Caribbean flavours and were glad we did! Proof positive that sometimes trying new things can show you what you’ve been missing! If you are as passionate about wings as we are, take a trip to Chippawa and try out something different!
