Overall - July 2008:
Nothing like some cold beers on a patio in Port Dalhousie! This time around it was certainly much better than the last time we visited in the dead of winter! Decent sized wings with a fairly average BBQ sauce. Good zing and afterburn as well. One batch was a little overdone, making the wings a bit dry and brittle. It seemed like they slopped them with sauce to compensate, so we had to deduct a few points for that.
We also enjoyed some tasty pizza, but I wish places would stop using canned mushrooms all the time. Overall a decent night and a good spot to include in any Port Pub Crawl.
Overall - Feb 2001:
Odd...we ordered 6 lbs of wings. One basket were meaty and saucy, another were dry and crunchy and yet a third had a strange salty flavour? I felt sorta like Goldilocks in the Three Bears...These wings are too dry, these wings are too salty, these wings are just right...not quite! Decent sized, but not terribly memorable.
Fortunately a low turnout, combined with a high carryover made it a cheap night. |
