RIP - July 2014:
Although not one of our usual go-to spots for wings, it’s always sad to see a long time establishment pack it in. The family owned London Arms pub was a fixture in its location at the Pen Centre mall for over 30 years. Although the exact reasons for its demise are unknown, we suspect increased competition from the nearby chain restaurants (Kelsey’s and Boston Pizza), combined with what was likely an expensive lease renewal with the Pen Centre mall finally sealed its fate. Too bad though....we always prefer to tip a pint and support an independently owned establishment over a franchise any day!
Overall - Oct 2000:
Certainly better than "the usual" fare of london, which consisted of Schnitzel Wings. Obviously, our last visit was hosted by a disgruntled cook who decided to serve us pathetic Tofu wings. This time was MUCH better. Decent wings, nothing particularly notable, but a good standard set for a place that has been distinctly BELOW standard for a while. Hey.. Why is my monitor making a pecking sound??? Right-cluck on your desktop and cluck Properties to set the correct Wing Saver. A decent 70%. Still too expensive, but acceptable for a quick wing night!!
