Overall - April 2026:
Alright...time to whip out a review for Chip n Charlies. What was the concensus on this joint?
- No Guinness (but we knew that going in). We had pitchers of Blue Moon or something similar. Typical domestic fare on tap.
- Loud Ooonts Ooonts Ooonts music, but they turned it down shortly after we arrived which was good.
- Decent sized wings with more or less textbook buffalo hot sauce. On par, if not better than what a lot of places serve these days.
- Pricing:
- $14 for 1 pound
- $26 for 2 pounds = $13/lb
- $39 for 3 pounds = $13/lb
- $65 for 5 pounds = $13/lb
- Not seeing much of a discount for volume here are we? Needless to say but $13 a pound is pretty good these days so we can’t really complain.
Downsides? My only gripe is that some of those wings were on the overcooked side. Not slightly overcooked, like crispy and turned to dust when I bit into them overcooked. Desert Storm wings no amount of sauce could save. Fortunately that was limited to a handful at best. Maybe some stragglers left in the deep fryer from a previous order?
Overall, a decent neighborhood bar - we need more places in the Falls to go to. I’d give it another go for sure. |
