This is simply what the name implies - Mulligan’s Pub is an old school 18th century Irish Pub! Home of the perfect pint, Mulligan’s has served everyone from Judy Garland to John F Kennedy over its 235 year history. As it was recommended to us by a gentleman on our flight from Edinburgh, we figured we would check it out.
I don’t know what it takes to call a pint of Guinness ’The Perfect Pint’, but these tasted pretty damn good in my books. This is another example of what you find when you get out of the touristy areas to hit up the spots where the locals drink. No kitsch, no dancing leprechauns or faux Irish glam. Just the cozy atmosphere of a local working-class pub where you can hit up the bar for a pint and chat up with your mates. Definitely worth the walk out of the Temple Bar area!
