Overall - Sept 2016:
Our third stop in the Grimsby Pub Crawl 2016 brought us to The Judge & Jester English Pub, also conveniently located on Main Street (isn’t everything?).
A classic english pub with the typical decor, Guinness on tap (of course) and live acoustic music on thursday nights. We were thankful they didn’t book ’The Who’ for the evening!
This time we stuck with Guinness all around to finish off the evening along with a couple pounds of Hot & Electric Chair wings to see what they were like.
The wings were decent sized, but had an odd texture, kind of like they were baked instead of fried. The wing sauces were unique and had a hint of chipotle, but neither were terribly spicy. Maybe we are just becoming too used to it after twenty years?
Overall - A nice pub. Typical English Pub style and fare to wrap up our pub crawl in style. This also marks our 200th review as we approach the twentieth year of BHON! I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap it up, can you? |
