Overall - March 2016:
As the latest incarnation of a bar at this location, we thought we might give it a try after practicing for the zombie apocalypse.
The interior hasn’t changed much from the last time we were in there. A fresh coat of paint on the walls, a combination of tables and tall bar tables abound. We ordered some wings and beer and sat back talking guns and shooting and the usual stuff.
Lord, we must have sounded like a bunch of rednecks.
The Good - TAVAR was up there. Have to give them that. The wings were tasty, not Bugsy’s or Celtic good but decent. Rickards Red in frosted glasses made for a fine beverage to wash down the wings. Wasn’t too noisy despite the number of people in there when we went.
The Bad - No Guinness. Oh well, new bar so we will cut them a little slack. All the big wings were piled on top. Once you removed the first layer on the 3 lbs order, they got smaller and smaller. Shame on you for hiding the small stuff. Music, well what can you say. When you put one of those internet music boxes in, idiots will pick stuff. Went from a couple decent tunes to reminding us of hitting the nudes waiting for the next stripper to take the stage. Nuff said.
So, a 75%. The patio outside looked large, perhaps when the weather gets better we will go back and have another patio run at them....If they are still around come the summer. |
