BHON - June 2012 |

Overall - June 2012:
Our second stop on the BHON Lincoln Pub Crawl 2012 brought us to the Butcher and Banker, another British themed pub located a few blocks from downtown Beamsville. Who woulda thought we would find yet another good Guinness-serving spot out in the middle of Niagara wine country?
Overall, it was a very nice little pub with a cozy atmosphere. Their thursday night specials included mini-pitchers of Guinness for $9 which were an exceptional value. The wings were textbook Buffalo-style, large, hot and saucy, but not a great deal at $10 per pound. Still, it seemed like we were getting far more value for our dollar than at the previous establishment visited that night. The wing sauce was textbook hot and a little heavy on the vinegar, but the suicide sauce on the side was excellent with a perfect afterburn.
Other plusses - Free WiFi. No obnoxious band. No douchebags. No smokers (except for Steve).
We’ll be back...
