RIP - April 2013:
As of the end of March 2013, The Street Tap & Eatery changed hands and is now known as Hemmingways. So, we’ve retired this review and look forward to re-reviewing this location under its new ownership in the near future. Stay tuned...
Overall - May 2010:
Well, we decided to give The Street another go after our first pick of the night turned out to be a bust. Quite glad we did. It seems they must have taken note of our earlier review, as the fluorescent lights and gaming area is now history - replaced instead with a cozy dining area complete with fireplace! They’ve also updated the place with a paint job and a fairly large new patio out front. Sadly they were still awaiting their liquor license, so the patio remained empty this evening.
Also a shout out to Glen for taking good care of us, even though the place was packed with Habs fans celebrating their win against the Flyers.
Overall - Oct 2009:
Not a bad place - formerly Time Out Sports Bar, just starting out under new management.
Huge tavern with lots of floor space which was mostly empty except for us. Large games area with pool tables and dart boards for those inclined, but the garish flourescent lighting took away from the potential for a cozy atmospheree.
Decent sized, spicey wings with a sweeter taste. The suicide were excellent although slightly overcooked. Also no Guinness on tap, but pitchers of Rickard’s Red made it a relatively cheap night.
Definetely worthy of another visit in the near future.
