Overall - Jan 2006:
Our first impression of the Feathery seemed to suggest it would be a tiny little place, given the narrow storefront sandwiched in beside Starbucks. Obviously some sort of gap in the time-space continum exists here as the place is pretty damn huge inside! How’d they do that anyway?
Anyhow...the Feathery impressed us with a cozy English pub atmosphere and of course, quality imported beers on tap. In some ways it reminded us of one of our old favourites, the long gone Cock and Pheasant in Niagara Falls. The wings unfortunately did not live up to that expectation.
The wings were decent, though not terribly memorable. They served the standard generic breaded wing that seems to be found in most popular chain restaurants these days - along with a standard, heavy on the vinegar, hot sauce. Not bad wings....but at $18 for two pounds we would have expected better.
Overall it was a fun night. The place was packed and had a high TAVAR score. Probably worth a re-visit sometime, perhaps to stop in for a pint or two. Probably not for another BHON night though.
