Apparently the owners have sold the property and are planning a Goodbye event for the end of October. Future TBD.
Overall - April 2009:
Wow, the place was huge, probably big enough to park an actual boat (or two) inside. If you’d ever visited Chaplain’s before, the place was immediately recognizable as not much has changed over the years. It was also mostly empty, except for us...Not a good sign for an otherwise busy thursday night.
They had Bud-Lite and Blue on tap. I can’t remember what we ordered. The wings were decent sized, but average in almost every way. The mediums were hotter than the hot, while some were dry and crunchy and others wet and ketchupy. Acceptable but not exceptional.
Fortunately it was a cheap night for our large crowd, and with the carryover we wrapped the night up a couple blocks down the street with a few pints at the Queen’s Guard, which by comparison was packed to the rafters. |
