This month in the spirit of throwback-thursdays, we feature some retro Pbbbbt!
Christie Brinkley (born Christie Lee Hudson - February 2, 1954) is an American supermodel and actress who gained worldwide fame as the first model to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition for three consecutive years in 1979, 1980 and 1981. Her career spanned 25 years as the face of Covergirl, the longest running cosmetics contract of any model in history.
Brinkley went on to work as an actress, illustrator, television personality, photographer, writer, designer, and activist for human and animal rights and the environment.
To date, her net worth is estimated at over $80 million USD, ranking her third among the top 20 earning models of all time (2012).
To most of us, she’ll best be remembered as the girl in the red ferrari in National Lampoon’s Vacation. At 60+ years of age, she’s rocking a body that would make women half her age envious. Whether the result of good genes, good eating or a good plastic surgeon we have to admit she still looks pretty amazing all these years later!
